The Mexican company Nutrición y Vanguardia de México (Nuvamex) announced that it recently received the "Company Committed to Human Rights Distinction" from the State Human Rights Commission (CEDH). Following this recognition, they reaffirmed their commitment to continue contributing to people's well-being and health.
This award was granted after an audit focused on organizational policies and processes. The audit's goal was to confirm that Nuvamex's implemented policies are free from discrimination, institutional violence, gender-based violence, and sexual and workplace harassment.
In light of this recognition, Nuvamex reiterated its commitment and announced a series of upcoming projects aimed at reaching more people and improving their health, emphasizing that this is their priority.
As a company that focuses on education rather than just selling products, they detailed their ongoing work on awareness campaigns and mobile nutrition clinics. These clinics are primarily planned to operate in peripheral areas.
One of the most significant projects they mentioned, which they hope will soon come to fruition, is planned for the Sierra Tarahumara region. Aware of the hunger and poverty prevalent there, Nuvamex intends to implement feeding programs based on the local customs, with the goal of alleviating the problem.
To achieve this, they stated they are already in discussions with several higher education institutions, including the Autonomous University of Chihuahua, the Technological University of Chihuahua, and TecMilenio, to establish an agreement allowing students to complete their internships in these communities. This initiative aims to reaffirm their support for the four indigenous ethnic groups in the state by strengthening the "plato del buen comer" (plate of good eating) and adapting it to their gastronomic traditions.
